The Musicians
Mike Watson - Mandolin, Acoustic Guitar, Vocals
Mike and I met at Cafe Kairos and loitered alot on the uneven streets of west philly. Eventually we atarted a band together called the National Wrecking Company; we're talking Philadelphia in the early 1990's. He moved to Gainesville several years ago. He plays mostly mandolin, acoustic guitar and electric guitar. He has been playing recently with Chelsea Carnes, their act is known as "You and Me." They have a side project going also, called "Me and You."
George Scott - Trumpet, Vocals
I met George after i bought a 1980 International Scout which due to extensive rust rot looked like the car Fred Flintstone drives. I found his website, which is called economechanix, even though the URL is http://www.econofix.com/ He helped me with car stuff for about a year before we first played a note together. He is an engineer, minister, car mechanic and plays trumpet on most of the conspiracy tracks.
Sharon Larsen - Accordion, Vocals
I met Sharon Larsen when she and Mike Watson were living in the woods of Maine. When she moved here to Gainesville a few years ago we started playing music together. She plays accordion on the conspiracy tracks, and sings. As a songwriter, she often performs with an acoustic guitar.
Paco - Electric Guitar
Paco runs an open mic behind enemy lines so to speak, at this unlikely bar called Brownstones located in the bowels of the Holiday Inn out by I-75. When the conspiracy had first rehearsed a few times (Greg Straub played that stick electric bass then), we went out there at George's suggestion to try out a couple numbers. We got a great response from the 2 older women sitting at the bar. Anyway, one day Paco offered to play on the recording of "Cozy & Warm," which i was open to, even though i think it's the first time anyone has ever come up to me and said, "hey i want to play on this track!"
Dave Drobach - Bass

Replay Dave is a legend. He mostly rocks out with the Grabass Charlestons. He played a few shows with us in 2004, and put his fire in several of the conspiracy tracks, like "Slim & Betty." We were in another band in the late 90's called the Ham, where he played bass and i just jumped around and screamed in a black cowboy hat and vegas coat. Pete Bowers wrote all the music, with Jason the drummer i think. It was fun as shit. We went on a tour and then broke up.
Chelsea Carnes - Banjo
Chelsea is a songwriter, but briefly played some shows with songriot during the spring of 2006. She's on that live recording from the Common Grounds, April 18 and pictured at the Waldo show in the Photos.
